What is the Orthodox Church?
The Holy Orthodox Church is the original Church of the New Testament, founded by our Lord Jesus Christ. Holy Orthodoxy is evangelical, but not Protestant. It is Orthodox, but not Jewish. It is Catholic, but not Roman. It isn’t non-denominational – it is pre-denominational. It has believed, taught, preserved, defended, bled and died for the Faith of the Apostles since the Day of Pentecost 2,000 years ago. There is always room for more in the worship and life of Saint Sophia Orthodox Christian Church. Whether you’re a seeker after truth, a Christian of another tradition, or an Orthodox Christian visiting or moving to our area, we’d love to get to know you. Come visit us!
